luxury catered chalets and self catered apartments in the French Alps
A picturesque market town in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, Morzine has plenty of character and charm, with an unspoilt centre that has an abundance of excellent restaurants and lively après ski venues.
It is dominated by attractive chalets spread across a river gorge, bordered by partially wooded slopes, allowing skiing in poor weather conditions. Morzine is also a hive of activity during the summer months.
The immediate slopes close to the village are best suited for beginners and less-seasoned skiers and snowboarders, which has led to the resort being particularly popular with families.
However, more challenging slopes can be found at the top of the Pleney, or alternatively Avoriaz, which can be accesed using the Supermorzine lift (5 min walk) or Prodains lift via a 5 min ride in the excellent free bus shuttle.
Morzine is the most northerly of the French Alpine resorts and benefits from the regional ‘micro-climate’ between Mont Blanc and Lac Leman.
